The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
