Intensive Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes come after nights of air raids in the territory, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
